2011 Ford Fiesta, Amazing Fuel Efficiency

2011 Ford Fiesta, Amazing Fuel Efficiency

The 2011 Ford Fiesta is not only one of the best reasonably priced subcompact vehicles in 2011; it also is one of the most fuel efficient cars in its class. It has an official EPA estimate of 29 mpg in the city, 38 mpg on the highway with a 5- speed manual transmission, 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway with the PowerShift 6-speed transmission, and to top it is the SFE package –outfitted model with 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

This front-wheel drive revolutionary subcompact is available as a 4-door sedan or a hatchback. It is powered by a 1.6-liter Duratec inline Ti-VCT 4-cylinder engine that generated 120 horsepower and 112 lb ft of torque. This powerful engine of a 2011 Ford Fiesta is mated by either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed PowerShift dual clutch automatic transmission and equipped by an independent front and semi-independent rear suspension.

The petite but elegant 2011 Ford Fiesta maneuvers accurately, dashing from corner to corner with amazing cool and ease but as steady on the highway as a midsize vehicle. The propensity of a front-wheel drive to be front-heavy is surprisingly absent in a 2011 Ford Fiesta and its body –roll is restricted. The independent front and semi-independent rear suspension of a 2011 Ford Fiesta react adroitly to road ruts and expansion joints resulting in a vibration-free, quiet and comfortable ride.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta offers big safety protection in a small package. It is designed to enhance undersized car safety with top – strength boron steel with the Trinity front crash structure. Ford also equipped the 2011 Ford Fieta with the latest state-of –the art safety features that include the highly developed airbag technologies such as the driver’s knee airbag, side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags and the dual-stage front seat airbags.

2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid Review

2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid (FWD) Offering Comfort for the Whole Family

When a person thinks of traveling with a family they often think about the family sized sedan. These vehicles because they offer more space often take up more gas to get going. The Ford Fusion Hybrid is like the regular sedan in terms of space but takes less gas and money to run.

The average mpg for the fusion to run is about 39 but when it is looked at closely, these numbers are actually split up to be 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. This $28,000 machine is equipped with many different features making it not only fuel efficient but also practical and convenient.

This vehicle has a dual-zone climate control to keep everyone the right temperature, a 10-way power driver’s seat, automatic headlines, power windows, keyless entry, power windows and locks, traction control, ABS and capless refueling. These things are accompanied by the 17-inch wheels, a reverse sensor, eco-responsible seats as a six-speaker stereo system.

All of these features add up to make it a great ride for the family that also results in saving money. This vehicle has impressed critics and is being ranked as one of the top fuel efficient vehicles of the year. It has power enough to go a decent speed with good acceleration. Technical numbers do the explaining: it has a 2.5 liter inline-four along with 155 horsepower and 136 feet of torque which is all connected up to a CVT transmission.

For many, these features are enough to capture the attention. While it does cost about $1000 more than the Toyota Camry Hybrid, customers are able to choose the optional heated leather seats, GPS system, and/or the Sony audio system. For some, this is enough to make the decision.

In any case, this is a nice option for those with families or those who always have others to chauffeur. It is spacious, comfortable and cheap on gas.

The 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid’s price tag puts it on the high end of the compact SUV spectrum, especially as there are gas only compact SUVs out that can offer similar gas mileage without the hefty price tag. None the less, if you are looking for an ecologically conscious compact SUV and are willing to pay extra for it, the 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid will have everything you are looking for in a green compact SUV. If price is a concern, though, you may be better off looking at other models or even the regular non-hybrid version of the 2011 Ford Escape instead.
