2011 Honda CR-Z Review

2011 Honda CR-Z Review

The 2011 Honda CR-Z is an oxymorone of a hybrid car. It is not only a fuel-efficient car but is also a fun to drive car. It is a two- seat, two-door sporty hybrid provided with Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist that consists of a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor with a nickel metal hybride battery set. The 1,5-liter engine produces 112 horsepower and 107 lb ft of torque while the electric motor gives and additional 13 horsepower and ft. lb of torque.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z is mated with a standard 6-speed manual transmission and a Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT with paddles shifters is an option. As per Honda’s reckoning, the 2011 Honda CR-Z’s IMA equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission will provide an EPA estimate of 31 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway and an overall 34 mpg. Whereas, with the CVT fuel consumption will be 35mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway and a 37 mpg combined.

Smooth and comfortable ride is what you will expect from a 2011 Honda CR-Z. It has an agility and liveliness that makes driving this car enjoyable. The IMA power source together with the added torque from the electric motor provides sufficient force to give this car a more lively performance at low speed. The suspension of a 2011 Honda CR-Z is unyielding and steady to make cornering enjoyable but agile enough for comfort.

Safety features of a 2011 Honda CR-Z include side guard door beams, crumple zone, side curtain airbags, front seat 3 point seat belts, driver airbag with dual stage deployment and dual threshold, front active head restraint, Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, seat-mounted front side airbags, Occupant Position Detection System Passenger Airbag Cutoff sensor, Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, and Electronic Stability System with traction control among others.

This car has about a 43 mpg on the highway and it is also safer for the environment with the AT-PZEV emissions rating. It is fitted with the Motor Assist IMA system making it a safer and more practical vehicle to drive. Although it is cheaper and safer, it doesn’t fail when it comes to performance or with the features either. It has a dual point sequential ignition system as well as a CVT, otherwise known as a continuously variable transmission. It is also equipped with a 110 horsepower, 8 valve, SOHC, i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine.

As for the interior, it doesn’t leave much to be desired. It is available with a interior created with leather trim and it has been designed with a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation system equipped with the voice recognition software for those who want that feature. It also has a USB Audio Interface for those individuals who like to listen to music while they drive.

With a price of just under $24,000, a person can get a great deal. This is a vehicle that not only has a reasonable price tag attached, but it is something that will allow a person to keep on saving money as well as contribute to saving the environment. 2011 Honda Insight Review

2011 Honda Insight Saving Money & the Environment

For the price that is being asked for a new 2011 model of the Honda Insight, a person does reap some benefits. The price ranges depending on where a person buys it and what features that have included but they are found from between about $19,000 and $24,000. In terms of gas mileage, a person can’t get much better at 40 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.

The fuel rating is as high as it can get for a vehicle although the ratings might suffer in other areas because of a few quirks .This being said, it does rate very high in terms of its technology so it really does depend on what the individual intends on receiving from the car regarding the benefits.

When it comes to saving money on fuel, this is the vehicle to invest in. The inventors behind the vehicle have made a commitment to the buyer to save money but also to the environment for the vehicle to give off fewer emissions and they have succeeded in this quest.

Then comes the information that a person might not have to live with – the actual insides. The inside of the vehicle is rather small and cramped and although it has enough seatbelts for five passengers, it might be a tight squeeze for five adults. The car is actually quite noisy aside from this so combine the lack of space with the noise and for those with low tolerance levels to either, it might be a bit of an unpleasant journey.

This being said, if a person isn’t going to have the car full and they don’t mind the noise or can put their music up then the savings on gas funds is often worth it. Considering the starting price and the long term savings, it is a top choice for the more economical drivers.

There is much to be hyped about this car. S with hybrid cars, this too, is fuel efficient, clean and a model. Though it is not built as a sports car, it created not, of course, as sports car but s vehicle which has lightness and efficiency as its key attributes. Built reminiscent of Honda CR-X, the Honda coupe of the last two decades, it is also small and eco-friendly, suitable for those who prefer the green living.

The Honda CR-Z is the first hybrid car with a six-speed manual transmission that can tackle the difficult twists in the most demanding roads. It is sporty, but undaunting. It is agile without being too presumptuous.

The new CR-Z is midway between the Honda Civic coupe and Honda Insight. IThis is because the makers in Honda wanted a premium vehicle that is compact but with eco-friendly image. The car is measured 160.6 inches from end to end. The design is based on Honda Insights with little tweaks here and there such as the wheelbase being shortened, the front and rear track having been widened to make it more rigid.

2011 Honda CR-Z Hybrid Interior

The interior is designed like a performance car with its low driving position and its sports feel upholstery. One set back, however, is that, the sloping roof hampers the rear vision. Another is that it is not designed as a family car. It is a two-passenger seat car.

Being a hybrid car, it features a hybrid system with nickel metal hydride batteries. There is a three mode drive system that will give your different throttle response and steering effort.

With its steady and sturdy suspension, you are in for a firm but not a bumpy ride. It may be a bit expensive with the price between 20, 000-25, 000, but it sure delivers a pack.
