We are in search for cars that gives the best gas mileage. Why? That’s due to economic breakthrough in fuel prices. When you talk about gas mileage, you are actually comparing fuel consumption to distance.

2011 Toyota Prius

For the best gas mileage and fuel consumption, the number one spot is given to Toyota Prius. The price is around twenty thousand dollars. Its mileage is 45 miles in town and 48 miles on the highway. You can also check out the mileage on 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid and Smart Car. They ranked 2nd and 3rd on the best gas mileage cars. Include also these cars on the list Ford Fusion, Mazda Tribute Hybrid 2WD, Mercury Milan, Honda Insight Hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid Forward, Mercury Mariner Hybrid FWD, Lexus HS250h (hybrid), Nissan Altima Hybrid, Smart fortwo Coupe (automatic), Lexus Rx450h (hybrid 2wd), Toyota Camry Hybrid.

While those cars are best when it comes to gas mileage, you might as well want to consider now the usage those cars can give you. If you are considering a car for your own or a car that can fit your entire family, you can drop the ranking of the best gas mileage. There are cars that can only allocate four persons or cars that can allocate many, so get the best car that has good usage to you.

The population has gone crazy on finding a car that can give them the less fuel consumption as much as possible. They can’t spare another budget for their fuel consumption. So the best solution to that, is go and check cars that gives the best gas mileage.

When we talk about expensive and high priced cars, we can’t eliminate SUV’s to that. SUV or Sports Utility Vehicle is one of the most hunted types of car nowadays. SUV is proven to last for many years due to its durability and design but it still depends on the one using the car.

Gunmetal SUV

Anyways considering the increasing prices of fuels, you might want to think twice on buying SUV’s. These are large size cars and fuel consumption is also large. It might drain all your money’s pocket. Is there a SUV that gives the best gas mileage? If you talk about mileage, you might want to know why SUV is on your top lists.

We already have an idea that fuel consumption as of now didn’t decrease, it increases just like its price. Car companies are aware of the consequences of continuous fuel price hike. They are in search of formulating a car that is fuel efficient. Fuel efficiency is important to consumers especially those who are in the middle class because their budget is tight and they can’t handle sudden increase in their weekly or monthly deliverables.

I guess with SUV, the best gas mileage is determining the reason why you chose SUV despite there are other types of cars out there. Among all SUV’s, the hybrid models are considered to get the best gas mileage. If you think that this is the best car for you and the car that you dream of, then you already have the SUV that gives you the best gas mileage. I’m sure you’re not bothered with the possibility of fuel price hike because you chose this type of car anyways.

Best Fuel Efficient Cars in 2011

With a subtle economy none can be shaken! Fuel prices are raising high without limit and it’s giving the entire population a headache. One of the most searched information nowadays is to know the best fuel efficient cars.

Economy is changing the trends and prices without asking approval from the people around it. We can’t say “stop, you’re not supposed to increase fuel prices because we are not yet ready”, we need to be ready for the economy not to swallow us. The car companies have seen the need of fuel efficient cars to cater the increasing demands of individuals due to twists and turns in the economy. They are coming up with car inventions that may replace fuel car consumption but still there is none being invented that can match the effectiveness and efficiency of cars using fuels. While none is still proven to be the same quality as that of cars using fuel, our focus is with cars that are not consuming much fuel. We can start the lists from Kia Forte, Mini Cooper, Kia Rio, Hyundai Accent, Ford Fusion Hybrid, Honda CR-Z, Ford Fiesta, Audi A3 (Diesel), Smart For Two, Volkswagen Jetta TDI (Diesel), Volkswagen Golf TDI (Diesel), Honda Civic Hybrid, Toyota Prius Hybrid, and Honda Insight Hybrid.

Fuel efficient cars are the answer to fuel price increase. We can’t control fuel price hike and we can’t blame the fuel companies for doing fuel increases. The best thing to do is embrace the economic situation we have and find alternative ways to make our lives better

The 2011 Chevy Silverado is a powerful full-size pick-up truck powered by a Vortec 5.3L V8 engine that generates 325 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. It has an impressive EPA estimate of 21 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in the city when running on gasoline, a fuel economy that no other full-size pick-up truck with a V8 engine can outdo.

The 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 is very easy to customize to fit the requirements of a user because of the many configurations available. It is offered with four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive; with long, standard or short bed; with a crew, regular or extended cab and in LT, Work Truck and LTZ trims. Not considering all the available combinations, the 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 is a full-size truck that is comfortable but has the capabilities of a truck that can move stuff with no fancy luxury package.

The 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 is comfortable enough to be used as an everyday car but tough enough to be a real work vehicle. Its V8 engine and the available six-speed automatic transmission account for a smooth and refined ride. Handling is the Silverado’s strongest points. It is easy to drive with a crisp steering and very responsive brakes. Even on rough terrain, the Silverado 1500 maintains a smooth ride, smoother than its competitors. For long drives this macho truck is a driver’s best companion because of its quiet cabin and supple suspension. The truck’s stability is due to a rigid body structure coil-over shock front suspension and broader track.

The hauling capability of the 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 differs according to box length, drive wheels and cab type. A regular cab model with a two-wheel drive and a long box can haul a maximum of 1,779 lbs. A crew cab Silverado with four-wheel drive is capable of hauling 1,928 lbs. its towing capability can reach up to 10,700 lbs depending on the equipment and model.

The 2011 Lincoln MKT is a luxury crossover sports utility vehicle that comes in two trim levels; the Lincoln MKT and the Lincoln MKT with ECO Boost. The base Lincoln MKT’s powertrain is a 3.7 liter 24-valve Duratec engine that delivers 268 horsepower @ 6,500 rpm and 267 lb ft of torque @ 4.250 rpm that is particularly regulated to supply even power distribution with negligible roughness and vibration. For the 2011 Lincoln MKT ECO Boost the powertrain is a 3.5-liter twin turbocharged EcoBoost V8 that produces 355 horsepower @ 5,700 rpm and 350 lb ft of torque @ 3,500 rpm. A pressurized direct injection aids in doing away of the “turbo lag” related to other turbocharged engines.

Both engines have an EPA rating of 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway or a combined 19 mpg. This fuel economy is due to aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-Off or ADFSO, two-speed fuel pump, ultimate drive gearing and a maximized transmission.

The 2011 Lincoln MKT engines are mated with a 6-speed Select Shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters attached to the steering wheel that presents the driver the option of either manual or fully automatic operation. The base model of the 2011 Lincoln MKT comes with a front – wheel drive with an AWD or all-wheel drive as an option while said AWD is standard for the MKT with EcoBoost.

A new-fangled suspension system is provided the 2011 Lincoln MKT that is characterized by a 1:1 shock absorber power ratio. This results in an enhanced balance between control and reactive handling plus an even and smooth ride. The design of the suspension expands rear segregation and allows the use of a 20-inch wheel.

The 2011 Lincoln MKT is equipped with the latest in safety features that include a an Electronic Stability control, Antilock Disc Brakes, blind spot monitoring system, side curtain airbags for all three rows, cross traffic alert, rear view camera, front seat side-impact airbags, My-Key System and 911 automatic dial upon air use. An optional feature is the Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning with Brake Support, a system that shows an alert on the windshield when the sensors perceive slow-moving vehicles in front and then forewarns the brake system to lessen braking distance for a resulting emergency stop.
